My Family
I am an Idaho Falls girl born and raised. I have wonderful childhood memories growing up in Idaho Falls and love it so much I have never had any desire to leave. So I just stayed put! My dad is a very successful "small" business owner. He owns a pretty prominent lawncare company in the area and is fantastic at what he does. He raised my sisters and I on healthy doses of patience, hard work, and humor. He is my hero. My mom is supermom. Kind, thoughtful, and giving to flaw. She works part time for a bank, but her full-time job has always been her family. I attribute my work ethic, energy, and ambition to both of my parents. They are part of the group I consider to be the greatest generation.

I have two awesome younger sisters who are my closest friends. We speak fluent movie line and song lyric with each other. We love to get together and chat about our husbands, kids, mom and dad, and crazy things we did as kids and teenagers.

I have been married to my terrific husband, Justin, for 18 years. And there has never been a dull moment. I met J when I was a young college student at Idaho State. He lived in the apartment above mine and I can safely say, it was not love at first sight. I kinda thought he was annoying when I first met him (Love you, honey!). But he grew on me and he managed to change my mind. So glad he did! We love to ride motorcycles together and catch a great concert or baseball game when we can.

Justin and I have 3 amazing kids. Dylan (14), Erin (13), and Dani (11). Each one uniquely different. They keep us on our toes and we love watching them grow and learn new things. Talking with pre-teens and teenagers is weird. So we are never bored. :)

My Education
I grew up in District 93 boundaries. So, I have loved watching this district grow. I attended Falls Valley Elementary, South Bonneville Junior High (now Sandcreek), went to Bonneville High School for a year, and then, when Hillcrest was built I finished my junior and senior year there. I got my associates degree from Ricks College and my bachelors degree in secondary education from Idaho State University. I majored in history and minored in political science.

My Teaching Background
I got my first teaching job as a 7th grade Western Hemisphere teacher at Rocky Mountain Middle School. I've never taught anywhere else because I've never wanted to. I have the priviledge of working at the best school with the staff and the best students. Hands down. I love it here. I currently teach 8th grade World History and Big History on Team Jaguar in the Fusion Classroom; a problem/project based learning team. I am also very fortunate to work with a team of teachers that I absolutely adore. I love this job.
