Students will be required to
- write, revise, and edit in various genres, including expository and narrative essays.
- review the foundations of writing (solid paragraphs, transitions, grammar, and punctuation).
- analyze texts for meaning.
- construct essays that follow the basic five-paragraph structure.

- write a three-five page research paper with a clear thesis statement and bibliography
- use grammar and usage to further enhance writing.
