LeeAnn Mitchell graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in English and Art.  She is now in her 28th year teaching English.

Advanced Placement English: Literature and Composition

This accelerated course is available to juniors who have demonstrated exceptional ability in their previous English classes.  Emphasis is on college composition skills and in-depth written literary genres.  Readings include Bless Me Ultima, Huckleberry Finn, Lord of the Flies, Frankenstein, King Lear, Fences, Jane Eyre, Crime and Punishment, Their Eyes Were Watching God, A Doll's House, and Heart of Darkness.

Senior English

This course integrates the study of language, composition, and literature.  Language/composition study emphasizes persuasion, exposition, critical analysis, and an MLA style research paper.  Some of the readings include Night, Beowulf, Macbeth, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
