I was born and raised in the Ucon area of Bonneville County.  I attended school in the Bonneville School District, graduating from BHS in 1997.  My higher education took place at Brigham Young University-Idaho as well as some additional schooling through Utah State University.  Also, my Special Education certificate came through The American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence.  Additionally, I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership through the American College of Education.

This is my 3rd year of Special Education at Hillcrest.  I firmly believe that every student, even those with disabilities, can accomplish anything they put their mind to.  Previous to Special Education at Hillcrest, I spent two and a half years working as a PsychoSocial Rehabilitation specialist.  This helped me learn techniques to apply with behaviors inappropriate for a social setting.  I was privileged to do PSR in the school setting which helped me transfer into teaching.  My favorite part of HHS is working 1-1 with students and seeing their eyes as they learn something new and knowing I had some small part in that.

Practical Study Skills for 2010-2011 has been improved from years past.  If you have questions about new procedures for this class, please email me to correspond or set up an appointment to meet.

In addition to teaching at Hillcrest, I'm also an assistant coach for the HHS baseball team.  We have a great team and I love coaching the kids.

I love the Idaho Falls area and I believe it is the best place in the world to live.  I couldn't think of a better area to raise my family.  My wife and I are the proud parents of three young daughters.  I also enjoy attending sporting events around the area.  GO BRONCOS/COUGARS!!!  If I'm not at home or at the ball game you will often find me with a set of binoculars in my truck looking for the next place to hunt/fish.  I am also involved with the local Ducks Unlimited chapter.
