This year will be my second year at Hillcrest.  My first career was in Family Medicine.  After finishing my undergraduate degree in Microbiology, I attended LSU Medical School for four years and received my Doctor of Medicine degree.  I then completed three years of residency in Family Medicine and went into family practice as well as emergency medicine in East Tenessee.  When my husband and I moved to Idaho Falls, we started our family of four daughters and I morphed into a (mostly) stay-at-home mom and home school teacher for my girls.  I did continue some part-time medical involvements off and on during this time.  Four years ago I started a brand new career in teaching as a substitute teacher.  I enjoyed my involvement with students so much that I decided to become certified in Natural Science so I could teach the subjects I love at the high school level.  Last year I began teaching full-time
